Right of complaint
The right to complain according to the Purchase Act covers all errors that were present when you received the item.
The Purchase Act gives you a period of 24 months after the purchase in which you can complain about errors and omissions.
The right to complain does not cover damages and faults that occur due to incorrect use, lack of maintenance and normal wear and tear.
If an item turns out to have a fault or defect, the Swedish Sales Act gives you the opportunity to choose between several solutions. Your options are:
- You can have the defect remedied, e.g. have the product repaired
- You can have the item exchanged for a new item
- You can get the money back - cancel the purchase
This of course depends on the individual situation.
